Treatments

Treatments and techniques

These are techniques a physiotherapist may use as part of your care. Which ones are appropriate — if any — is decided by assessment, not chosen from a list in advance.

Each technique may be used as part of an individual treatment plan, depending on your assessment.

How treatments fit into physiotherapy

A technique is not a treatment plan. Physiotherapy works by identifying what is limiting you and then addressing it — sometimes with hands-on techniques, usually alongside movement, loading and progression.

That is why the practice does not sell techniques as standalone packages. If a technique is not appropriate for your problem, you will be told so rather than given it anyway.

Wondering if a technique is right for you?

Ask the practice. You will get an honest answer after an assessment, not a sales pitch.
